Pastor Terry Jones, whom I support, was arrested last week for failing to post a "peace bond" in Dearborn, Michigan. Jones had intended to protest Islam in front of the largest mosque in America, but was prevented from doing so by the brazenly unconstitutional actions of the Dearborn Dhimmis. This is a tale of the continuing erosion of our liberties, particularly free speech, in the face of Islamic encroachment on our soil.
Rather than regurgitate the whole sordid story, I refer you to others who have already summarized the tale quite well. Read these at:
View From the Right: Terry Jones, Defender of Christendom and Liberty. Larry Auster, as I am, has been a defender and supporter of Jones from the start. Events are proving us correct (once again).
Free Will: Pastor Jones in the Crosshairs. Free Will is written by a San Francisco attorney who says that he cannot believe that this persecution of Jones is constitutional. However, be forewarned that the author is someone who feels he must denigrate Jones at the same time he is defending him. Nevertheless, Free Will has a concise and coherent summary of the facts.

A Note From Pastor Terry Jones: "We Stand With Israel"
I received the following message from Pastor Terry Jones and his organization, Doveworld. No, it isn't a personal communication, just something emailed to supporters. Here it is:
Thank you for your support!
Since Judge the Koran Day, we have been dealing with hundreds of negative mails and calls a day and many requests from media.
We have now over 400 domestic and international death threats that law enforcement agencies seem to be ignoring, although we were asked to pass them all on, and have done so.
Our tech experts and firewalls have been fighting off massive cyber attacks from every continent. We are winning!
Our insurance is, once again, to be cancelled.
Our own government has condemned us and is considering criminalizing free speech, selling out our Constitution to coddle the OIC and the UN.
But we are not going away. We are not going into hiding. They will have to knock us all off to stop us! We are doing this for our country, for the nations and people of the world, oppressed under the lies and violence of Islam. It means more to us than our lives.
Come and support us in Dearborn, MI, April 22, in front of the largest mosque in America, where we join OOTD of Michigan and protest Sharia and Jihad, the oppression and violence of Islam. This mosque supports Hamas, Hezbullah, and their backers in Iran. We stand with Israel. Bring any signs and flags you like.
You can continue to support us through our websites: doveworld.org and standupamericanow.org where you can sign up for our newsletter, see our events, press releases and articles, and connect with us on facebook and twitter
Thank you, also, for your prayers.
God Bless you, your families and businesses.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr Terry Jones, Founder and President of Stand Up America Now.

Pro-Terry Jones Forces Begin to Coalesce; Ann Barnhardt Denounces General Petraeus and Senator Graham
![]() |
Terry Jones, Last American Standing |
Auster mentions Ann Barnhardt of Colorado, who made a video response to General Petraeus and Senator Lindsey Graham, after the two called for restraint of the First Amendment with regard to Islam. Barnhardt blasts both men with fury and righteousness, then reads hateful passages from the Koran, just before ripping out the offending page and burning it. Her readings show why the Koran is such an evil book and why it deserves the flames -- it calls for murder, deceit, torture, rape and homosexual pedophilia.
This young woman does indeed have more balls than most men. Her two videos are embedded below.

Is Pastor Terry Jones "a Kook"?
I see lots of criticism of Terry Jones for protesting Islam by burning a Koran. Folks on the right are calling him stupid, an idiot and a kook. I disagree.
Pastor Terry Jones is no more a kook than Salman Rushdie, or the Danish cartoonists, or Theo Van Gogh, or Ayaan Hirsi Ali, or Geert Wilders, or anyone else who has dared to criticize the barbarism known as Islam. It matters not whether they did so with cartoons, rebuttals, films, satire or by burning Korans. All criticism towards Islam is unacceptable to Muslims and any criticism an excuse for murder.
To my fellow rightwing bloggers, I say this: stop carrying water for the Islamic fanatics. Terry Jones is not a kook, his symbolic rejection of Islam has merit. Lawrence Auster explained this six months ago:

To my fellow rightwing bloggers, I say this: stop carrying water for the Islamic fanatics. Terry Jones is not a kook, his symbolic rejection of Islam has merit. Lawrence Auster explained this six months ago:
People are saying that the Koran burning will cause Muslims to kill innocent people. Perhaps it will. But the Danish cartoons caused Muslims to kill innocent people. Islam demands aggressive war against non-Muslims, including the killing of innocents, because from the Muslim point of view there is no such thing as an innocent non-Muslim. The clearest and most frequently repeated message of the Koran, appearing on almost every page, is that all non-Muslims are guilty of the monstrous crime of rejecting Allah and his prophet, and thereby deserve death and eternal torture. Why should we respect such a book? Why should we respect such a religion? Sooner or later, people in the West (and people in the non-Muslim world generally) must come to recognize the nature and teachings of Islam. They can have that recogition sooner, and prevent much violence, or they can have that recognition much later, only after Muslims have gained substantial power over our societies and get in a position to harm anyone who opposes them. My view is: the sooner the truth comes out, the better; the sooner things come to a head, the safer we will be.

Islamic Societies: a Culture of Murder, Mayhem and Madness
The slaughter of UN workers and other westerners in Afghanistan this week, over a burned Koran, was eye-opening. According to some sources, as many as twenty people died at the hands of rampaging Afghanis who committed mass murder in reprisal. Twenty people killed for a book made of paper and ink. It is doubtful that any of the perpetrators will be adequately punished. In Islam, it is not a capital crime to murder "infidels," no matter what the reason.
And this brings up the question: why are we there? Islamic societies are so barbaric, uncivilized and savage that any attempt to reform them appears futile. In any case, they aren't worth the cost in blood and money. Those on the right who want to democratize the world are on a fool's errand.
The only sane policy now is for the West to separate itself from Islamic societies and cultures as completely as possible. This is the only sound way to protect our people from this corrosive, savage culture.
To hell with Islam, its prophet, its Koran, its culture and everything else connected with it.

Pastor Terry Jones Burns a Koran, Afghan Muslims Kill 12 in Response
I think I am one of the few people, even on the conservative side, who actually likes Pastor Terry Jones. Jones created quite a furor some months ago when he planned to collect Korans from donors, then burn them in a huge bonfire on his church's property in Gainesville, Florida. Strong public pressure finally dissuaded him not to do so. In spite of this, a Pakistani court issued a fatwa against Pastor Jones, promising around $2 million to anyone who murders Jones. Every time Pastor Jones points out the pure evil of Islam, Muslims rush in to prove that he was right all along.
I am not a fundamentalist Christian [though I do admire Jesus]. I could care less what Pastor Jones thinks about salvation and damnation, angels and demons. But I absolutely agree with him that Islam is completely evil and intolerable. Because of this, I think everyone should burn a Koran. Every time another Islamic atrocity occurs (and they occur numerous times daily), we should mark the occasion by burning Korans.
This week Pastor Jones finally burned a Koran and it was on the news. So some Afghani Muslims attacked a UN headquarters somewhere in that big anus known as Afghanistan, and killed 12 UN workers. They were mad at Terry Jones, so they killed someone else. What a bunch of pure, unadulterated barbarian scum.
Some sites, like Weasel Zippers, tell the truth and say that it wasn't Terry Jones that killed those UN workers, it was fanatical Muslims. Nevertheless, Weasel Zippers and other sites find it necessary to speak ill of Jones before admitting this. Weasel Zippers said:

I’m no fan of the attention-whoring Terry Jones, but he is not to blame for these deaths, fundamentalist Islamic ideology is.Just for the record, I AM a fan of Terry Jones. We need more people who have the courage to tell the truth about the world's most vile religion, and there is no better way to demonstrate that than by burning their unholy book, the Koran. If we must refrain from exercising our rights to free speech in order to appease savages, than we have no business being in Afghanistan.
