As an Undergrad, Barack Obama Was a Committed Socialist/Marxist

Former Marxist John Drew knew the young Obama as an undergraduate at Occidental College.  When Obama was running for president in 2008, Drew tried to warn the media about Obama's true political inclinations.  No one was interested -- possibly because the truth was just too controversial.   Drew writes at American Thinker:

I had met the young Barack Obama while he was a sophomore at Occidental College, and I knew that his commitment to socialism was deep, genuine, and longstanding. See my earlier article on American Thinker.

I had been a leader of the Marxist students at Occidental College myself, starting in 1976 when I founded the precursor of the Democrat Socialist Alliance on campus. The young Obama I knew was a Marxist socialist who would have been quite comfortable with Communist party members like his Hawaii mentor Frank Marshall Davis, retired domestic terrorists like Bill Ayers, or active socialist politicians like Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer.

The Obama I knew was nothing like the lifelong pragmatic centrist that he was pretending to be in the 2008 presidential campaign. When I talked politics with the young Obama, he expressed a profound commitment to bringing about a socialist economic system in the U.S. -- completely divorced from the profit motive -- which would occur, in his lifetime, through a potentially violent, Communist-style revolution. In this context, I saw my report on young Obama as a key piece of evidence suggesting a profound continuity in his belief system.

Drew's article confirms what many have believed, that Barack Obama is a closet Marxist, that his extreme policies were indeed formulated to destroy America as we know it so it can be replaced with something very different.

Obama's Planned Jobs Speech Upstaged by GOP; Obama Peeved

Obama announced a presidential speech on job creation, but scheduled it for the same night of a televised Republican debate.  When informed that Republicans would not be present at his speech, Obama had to reschedule.  Now he's all mad and stuff.  Awww!

Obama giving a speech on job creation seems odd.  Maybe we can have a fox give a speech on how to protect chickens in hen houses.  Or perhaps we could schedule a bear to give a speech on vegetarianism.  Obama, the anti-job master of disaster, cannot give any speech on job creation that is credible, unless it consists of two words:  "I resign!"

Of course, Obama's planned speech is more about his re-election than it is about jobs.  The Big O is hoping to recapture some of that 2008 magic where a majority of voters saw him as some kind of Shaman, a being of light who spoke profound truths and was to be believed no matter how absurd or ambiguous his claims.  Now even liberals have recognized that the Magical O's Golden Oratory was an illusion borne of self-deception and fantasy.  His speeches now fool few and may even further harm his shrinking chances for re-election.  As one former believer states:

But here's the other observation: Not only isn't Obama the gifted TV performer he seemed to be during the 2008 campaign, TV is now one of his worst enemies.

My first fuzzy notion of this idea came while I watched Obama address the nation after the debt ceiling compromise with its crackpot, kick-the-can centerpiece of a so-called Super Committee. Obama had performed pitifully during the crisis, and yet, here he was on TV thinking he could spin the economic embarrassment as "Good President Battles Bad Congress" or Responsible Adult reins in Mean, Selfish Children."

But as I looked at the screen, I couldn't help thinking how diminished Obama looked and how thin his voice sounded. I wondered if there actually was something happening physically with him.

Meanwhile, the White House has announced that unemployment will remain persistently high through 2012, so why bother with a jobs speech? Probably so Obama can justify a new round of crazy, high spending and deficit expansion. Reckless spending may not create jobs, but it does buy votes from the underclass.

The Link Between Barack Obama and Accused Ax Murderer Lizzie Borden

Always On Watch informed me that Obama's birthday, August 4, falls on the anniversary of the famous Lizzie Borden murders.  On August 4, 1892, in their home in Fall River, Massachusetts, someone hacked Lizzie's parents to death with an ax.  Her step-mom was found dead in an upstairs bedroom and her father was hacked beyond recognition as he napped on his living room couch.  Most people think Lizzie did it, but she was acquitted of the crime at trial, and lived in luxury for the rest of her days, spending mom and dad's fortune.  Oh well.

Children liked to chant a rhyme in front of Lizzie's door and then run.  The rhyme was:
Lizzie Borden took an ax,
Gave her mother forty whacks;
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.

Obama has some things in common with Lizzie Borden, and here's a cartoon to prove it.  (AOW deserves credit for the idea and is also running this cartoon):

Why We Fight: Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures and lots of courage

Daniel Horowitz writes for Red State and also has his own blog, Red Meat Conservative.  He has a worthy post out that describes how dire and late the hour it is in America's collapse.  The post, "Why We Fight" says:

Historically, the growth of government statism has been irremediable. For every “100 yards” that they have advanced, our most successful counteroffensive has only slowed their rate of advance by a few yards. Now, after 80 years of soft-socialism, and 2 1/2 years of hard-Marxism, if nothing drastic is done, the government will control our healthcare sector, financial sector, and many other large components of our once proud free market. In other words, we are down big in the Super Bowl of socialism.

Horowitz doesn't just preach doom and gloom, but sees Obama's coming electoral defeat to be a major opportunity to fulfill some of Ronald Reagan's dreams, e.g. a balanced budget amendment, a 2/3 vote requirement for raising taxes, and a constitutional ban on price and wage controls.

GOP Says No, Obama Leaves Meeting in a Huff, The New GM Green Car

Barack Obama, like some 14 year old with his own credit card, has spent the country to the point of bankruptcy for projects and works that no one wants.  (Between taking office in January 2009 and September 2010, Obama increased the federal debt by $2.5 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.)

Now the angry 14 year old wants more goodies, and insists that the limit on his credit card be raised so he can continue his reckless spending.  Giving Obama additional credit is like giving a teenager the keys to the liquor cabinet and the car simultaneously.  Even the highly astute, quick-thinking GOP establishment has begun to think this is a bad idea.  "Huuuh?  Whaaat?  I dunno, maybe we should say no?"

Obama wants elected Republicans to vote with Democrats to raise the debt ceiling so the latter can waste even more while avoiding responsibility.  If he can persuade "the stupid party" to go along, they will then accept equal blame for the fiscal disasters that follow.  Per Rush and other pundits, that will take the heat off Obama in the 2012 elections -- he can then claim the tsunami of federal debt now swamping the economy is a "bipartisan" effort, and that the GOP agreed with it, etc, etc.

Obama was so angry about the GOP refusal to go along, that he threw down his pacifier and left yesterday's meeting in a Huff.  He was last seen pedaling the thing down a corridor of the White House, beeping the little rubber horn as he went.

A Huff, of course, is the new GM totally green car that was built with stimulus money and costs only $86,795 each.  Since the new car is propelled by pedal power, it will have no negative impact on the environment.  The economy?  Well now, that's another story.  If re-elected, Obama plans to be driven to his second inauguration in one.

Note to Republicans in Congress:  Keep saying no.  Or else.  We vote.  Or not.

MSNBC Analyst Mark Halperin Suspended for Calling Obama "a Dick"

Mark Halperin, speaking on the "Morning Joe" show of leftwing MSNBC, was suspended indefinitely for his accurate analysis of Barack Obama's job performance.  He described Obama's behavior during his press conference, saying:  "I thought he was kind of a dick yesterday."

If thinking Obama is a dick results in joblessness, then my two years of joblessness suddenly makes sense.

Barack Obama's Latest Gambit for Re-Election: He's the "Responsible Adult"

According to Politico:

One of President Barack Obama’s 2012 themes will likely revolve around what his aides call “the contrast” — a portrayal of Obama as a responsible, moderate adult harassed by infantile Republicans who favor the wealthy.

Yes, more often than not, politics is about image rather than reality.  The truth is that Barack Obama is a far-left ideologue who neither understands economics nor cares.  The far left believes that wealth exists independently of effort, work, investment and risk taking, sort of like manna from heaven:  it just appears, as if by magic, like sunshine, flowers and rainbows.  The rich are those who have managed to grab more than their fair share, leaving the slower and the tardy to fight for scraps.  It is therefore the job of the far left to take some of the manna away and redistribute it to the poor folks.

Obama is neither responsible nor moderate, and his belief system is not that of an adult.  His belief system is more that of a radical college sophomore who is high on pot and believes passionately in the manna-from-heaven theory of wealth, and his holy mission to rearrange reality so it is more to his liking.  We absolutely cannot bear another four years of this radical college sophomore, lest we become the next Greece, with all of its economic failings, crushing debt and widespread riots.

Netanyahu Schools Obama: Israel Will NOT Return to Its 1967 Borders! (Photoshop)

In a meeting today in the Oval Office, Benjamin Netanyahu (of Israel) responded to Obama's Palestinian peace plan by rejecting it.

Apparently, Obama had not been able to write Netanyahu's remarks for him, because the latter stated categorically that Israel would not return to its 1967 borders as prescribed by President Obama.  Further, Israel would not allow Palestinians the much demanded "right of return," effectively barring them from immigrating to Israel.

According to Rush, who viewed the exchange, Obama stared daggers at Netanyahu while the latter spoke, but to no avail.  It appears Obama will have to seek his legacy by throwing some other nation under the bus.

Obama Finally Releases the Birth Certificate!

Bowing to the pressure put upon him by Donald Trump, Barack Obama has released, finally, a certified copy of his long-form birth certificate.  There is nothing immediately visible in the document that would explain the long delay.  It clearly shows that Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in August of 1961, to Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham Obama.  The hospital and the attending physician are both identified.

Case closed.  Obama was born in the United States.

The only question is:  why did he wait so long to release the document?  Apparently, getting a copy was fast and easy, once he finally decided to release it to the public.

What kind of game was he playing?  And Why?

Gas Hits $5.00 a Gallon; Obama Prescribes "Alternative Energy"

According to American Power, gasoline on the Nevada-California border has officially hit $5.00 per gallon in price.

President Obama has vowed to perform an investigation to be sure no gas companies are somehow illegally inflating the price.  That'll fix the supply and demand problem for sure.  And if it doesn't, then Obama has another practical, immediate solution:  develop sources of alternative energy.

Alternative energy is things like windmills, solar panels and sails.  Sure, these will fix the problem, when they are perfected in a hundred years or so (if ever).  You've heard of "air guitar," well Obama likes to flout "air energy" sources.  This is a lot like "air ware" software, when software companies brag about the next killer generation of their computer programs that haven't been written yet.

So President Obama feels your pain at the gas pump, and wants you to know that solar and wind energy sources will relieve your distress, as soon as they are invented, right along with cold fusion, anti-gravity, elf-labor, pixie dust and perpetual motion.  Any day now.
