Beauty Sleep

Beauty Sleep

Beauty sleep is what happens at night when your muscles and digestive system rest and your blood cells do a better job of supplying nutrients to skin cells. It is the cheapest beauty treatment you can very well give yourself. No beauty cream, no facials, no amount of makeup can give you the glow, fresh and relaxed look that a sound sleep provides. Without the sleep you’ll look older and your skin will look drier. Your skin renews itself as you sleep which is why too little sleep can make your skin look tired and dull. Sleep renews and refreshes us and is vital for good health and beauty.
As we know that a lack of sleep leaves us irritable; however most of us are unaware of the damage it may be doing to our skin. Sleep experts say that we need 8 hours of sleep per night. Sufficient rest and sleep effectively reduces our stress hormone and we look with naturally fresh and glowing skin. It is also believed that as a person sleeps, the brain performs vital house-keeping tasks such as organizing long-term memory, integrating new information, and repairing and renewing tissue, nerve cells, and bio-chemicals.

Here’s what to do for sleep more peacefully and longer.

  • Eliminate noise from your bedroom. Bedroom sounds should be low and consistent. Try earplugs.
  • Add a tablespoon of honey to a glass of warm milk and drink it before bedtime.
  • Take a walk before retiring…a 15 - 20 minute slow walk is best.
  • Keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
  • Try natural-fill pillows such as down or feather because they have the most adjustability.
  • Watch your coffee intake. Caffeine from coffee, tea, cola and chocolate can affect you for up to twelve hours.
  • Close your eyes and breathe in very deeply, concentrate on the days pleasant happening

DON"T - Here’s what don't do for beauty sleep.

  • Do not do heavy exercise before going to bed. Keep your body calm.
  • Do not eat too many carbohydrates like breads or pastas, especially in the evening. Stay away from sugar and excess caffeine and follow a healthy eating plan.
  • Do not keep s TV's and computers in the bedroom.
  • Don' go to bed hungry or overly full.

Beauty After 25

Beauty After Twenty five

A woman having a perfect, petal smooth and rosy complexion is the envy of all women. Wherever she goes, heads turn in her direction in admiration. Such a complexion cannot be acquired without an effort. It has to be cultivated slowly and gradually by nurturing it carefully from within and without. Up to the age of 25 the skin is naturally supple, glowing and alive, but it is after the mid twenties that the skin slowly starts losing its fresh and youthful appearance and acquiring a parched look. This is because the cells deep within the skin layers are no longer able to retain their moisture and the beauty of the skin mainly depends upon the moisture contained in the cells.
The skin which cannot retain its moisture turns dry, rough, dull and wrinkled. Therefore in order to avoid looking prematurely old, you should try to observe a basic skin care routine after you pass your mid twenties so that the cells in your skin can retain maximum moisture and your skin remains firm, moist and young right up to old age.
Some people believe erroneously that moisturizing creams and lotions alone will keep the moisture level of the skin in perfect balance. No surface addition of moisture and no man made lubricant will help you unless you look after the inner life of your skin where beauty and youth really begin. Therefore, if you want to stimulate your cells to activity for a new look and the feel of youth, feed it regularly with a diet rich in proteins and vitamins B and C. Also, take at least six glasses of water every day, one glass of carrot juice and one pint of either milk or buttermilk. Besides looking after the inner life of your skin, you should also look after its outer life.
It is a good idea to use homemade moisturizing cream regularly after the age of 25 onwards, because this cream helps keep the skin soft, dewy and alive. But before applying any cream, remove all traces of makeup with homemade cleansing cream. Foundation cream is not soluble in water and does not come off even with soap. Therefore, a cleansing cream is a must for removing every trace of makeup and grime sooty and coaly dirt. To make the cream take one tablespoon of gram flour and mix to a paste with cream of milk. Stir in a few drops of lime juice and a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix well and apply it with your finger-tips over your face and neck. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rub your face vigorously with your hands. The paste will go on falling as you rub. Remove the clinging paste with hot water, splash on cold water. Blot dry and then apply this homemade cream on the face and neck.
Blanch and grind four almonds, one walnut, a couple each of peanuts and charoli to a very smooth paste. Mix in tour tablespoons of cream of milk, two melted. tablespoons of cucumber juice and one table spoon each of honey and rose water. Mix well and store in a small bottle. Massage it on the face and neck in circular upward movements firmly and gently.
This cleansing cream should not be just patted on the skin but it should be rubbed hard into the skin so that the oils it contains are picked up by the glands. But be careful with the areas around the eyes. Pat the cream lightly using the middle finger tip under and around the eyes. Leave the cream on for half an hour and then remove with tissue paper what the skin has not absorbed. This cream will not only give you a normal skin which is neither dry nor greasy but at the same time it will give your skin a natural glow, the look of health and feel of youth.
After you cross 25 use only moisture laden foundation creams because they not only protect a dry skin and help maintain a normal skin but also protect the skin from wind, sun, cold and dust. Use a special moisturizing pomade stick on your lips before applying your lipstick and apply over it a little lip gloss to keep them soft and pretty.
If you take regular care of your skin after you have passed your mid twenties by feeding it with a sensible diet and using moisture laden creams, the cells of your skin will be supplied with ample moisture to keep it supple, soft and wrinkle free. Your skin will have a smooth surface that is neither oily nor dry with a glow of health that stems from good blood circulation, regular care, regular attention and excellent general health.

How to Lose Ass Fat Fast

When it comes to our bodies there are certain areas that are more important to us than others when appearances are concerned; one of these areas is our butts. Men and women alike want to know the answer to the question, how to lose ass fat and keep it off. No matter how old you are or how well you try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, fat can still catch up with you and we have the answers to help you eliminate your excess ass fat and keep it off for good!
As you may have already suspected, the first and foremost way to lose weight in any area of the body is through consistent exercise and a proper diet. There is no such thing as a quick fix; no matter what anyone tries to tell you! As far as exercise goes you will want to come up with a complete body workout that works for you and the only way to do this is through trial and error. The basics of a full body workout include a 20-30minute cardio warm-up followed by 30minutes of strength training focussing on certain muscle groups on certain days and then complete your workout with another 30minutes of moderate to intense cardio.
This may sound overwhelming and intense for someone who does not workout on a regular basis but rest assured you are in complete control of your workout. The one problem with this much control is that it becomes easy to slack off in your workouts and even skip them completely. Self discipline is the absolute key to weight loss success. Take a look at your schedule today and pick the days that work best for you and the days you can stick to for your gym time. Here are some key exercises you should include in your strength training portion of your regime.
  • Squats: this is by far the most traditional and common way to tone your butt muscles and one that has proven its effectiveness throughout time. The best way to complete a proper squat is to do so with your back against a wall to make sure you are straight and not leaning forward. Stand with your feet hip width apart with your arms straight in front of you; hands empty or with weights, and then bend at the knees. Bend until your knees are at a 90degree angle, hold for 5seconds and then return to the starting position; repeat 15 times to complete a set.

  • Pelvic Lift: this is a unique way to work out your butt muscles and your core at the same time. Using a workout or yoga mat to support your back, lay flat on the floor with your knees bent. Using your pelvic and abdominal muscles, lift your butt up off the floor always keeping your shoulders and feet firmly on the ground. Complete a full set of 15 repetitions and you will feel the burn!

  • Running/Jogging: cardio is a great way to tone your buttock muscles and keep them toned with constant cardio training.

The great thing about trying to lose your ass fat is you tone your butt muscles not only through the strength training portion of your workout but through the cardio as well which creates better success rates for you. Learning how to lose ass fat is easier than you may think and it is more than possible to see results in as little as 2 weeks if you are true to your workout and goals. Get started losing your butt fat today and keep it off for good!

How to Lose Liver Fat Fast

How to Lose Liver Fat Fast

What causes liver fat?

There are not any specific causes of liver fat that can be proven by research thus far.  Liver fat has been traced in many individuals who are obese, have an illness like tuberculosis, or consume a great deal of alcohol.  Individuals with high triglyceride levels or diabetes are also at risk of developing liver fat.  The use of certain drugs and malnourishment have also been related to the development of liver fat.  That is why it is very important to have a doctor keep an eye on the situation if it develops.
If the condition is not caused by alcohol use, it is sometimes called Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).  Doctors should examine the liver to make sure that a more serious condition, like cirrhosis of the liver, has occurred.

How do I lose liver fat?

There aren't any medical treatments at this time that will remove fat directly from the liver, but there are other things that you can do to improve your condition.  You might need to get an intestinal bypass if you are obese and the situation is critical.  A majority of cases do not require this.
A diet and exercise program to help you lose liver fat.  You should lower triglycerides in your diet, as well as your alcohol intake.  You might even consider going alcohol-free.  Make sure that you focus on getting fruits and vegetables in balance with other things in your diet.  Cut back on sweets, especially if you have or are at risk of developing diabetes.  Reduce your overall calorie intake, but make sure that you are still getting the proper nutrition.  You should not lose more than one or two pounds within a single week.  Losing weight at a faster pace than this can cause other problems in your body.  You should also drink several glasses of water each day to keep your system hydrated and flushed.
Walking, jogging, biking, and swimming are activities that you can do outdoors, or indoors.  You can walk or jog on a treadmill and use a stationary bike inside, or do these things around the neighborhood or at a park.  You can swim in a pool outdoors, or inside a heating indoor pool.  These activities are not only fun, but they are a great source of exercise.  Doing these types of things three to five times a week will increase you metabolism tremendously and help you to lose liver fat.  Getting a gym membership is a great idea, and you can join with a friend to make it more fun.
You can also lose liver fat by strengthening and toning your muscles.  Lifting weights, like dumbbells, barbells, wrist weights, and ankle weights, can help you to tone your muscles.  By developing your muscles, you will increase your metabolism.  The toned muscle there is on your body, the faster your metabolism will be.  A faster metabolism is the key to losing liver fat.  You do not have to life extremely heavy weights in order to do this.  You can simply use light weights that are not too difficult for you to lift, and repeat the lifting actions for several sets.  If you use weight lifting machines, you should bring a friend or trainer along to spot you.

How to Lose Waist Fat Fast

How to Lose Waist Fat Fast

If you have extra waist fat, you should hit the dance floor.  That's right, dancing is a great way to shimmy down the fat on your waistline.  There are certain dances in particular that pump up the heart rate, and have lots of hip action.  Learning these dances is not only fun, but really good for your body.  You can sign up for a class to learn the moves, or you can get videos on DVD that incorporate fitness moves into creative dance styles.  It is no lie, you can dance your way to a skinny waist.
  • Dance salsa

Salsa is a popular Latino style dance that has some speedy fancy foot work and plenty of hip motion.  The music is lively, and if you have Latino roots, why not learn the dance?  If you don't have Latino roots, why not learn the dance?  It is fun and can really work up a sweat.  These can be very sexy moves, so once your learn them, you can take them on the dance floor with your significant other and wow them.  No to mention that you will be wearing smaller clothes to fit your new waist!
  • Dance hula

This is a Hawaiian dance that uses the legs, waist and hips a great deal.  You can learn the moves slowly and contract your muscles for a strength training workout.  You can also do hula moves faster for a cardio workout.  Some of the moves are great for the oblique muscles and abdominals as well.  You can get a full body workout with hula dancing because you will tell a story with your hands, as well as strengthen your legs.
  • Dance hip-hop

This is an American dance that younger generations really get into.  There are tons of different slick moves that work every part of the body.  A lot of these moves are faster pace and you need good coordination for them.  There can also be a lot of waist movement. You can certainly work up a sweat dancing hip-hop, and depending on what moves you do, tone muscles.
Not everyone is into music and dancing, I know.  It's alright if you "have two left feet" and just can't catch on to dance moves, there are other ways to trim your waist fat.  Other exercises include side-bends, oblique tilts, and knee lifts. You may even prefer following a successful diet plan such as fat loss for idiots. There's a great review on it here.
To do side bends, stand with your legs hips' width apart.  Place your hands on your hips.  Extend and reach your left arm over your head, and bend your body to the right.  Come back to the starting position and do the same thing using your right arm.  Repeat these actions until you are fatigue.  This exercise will tone down your waist fat after only a week.
To do oblique tilts, you should again stand with your legs hips' width apart.  Bring your hands to chest level and point your bent elbows out so that you form a straight line from elbow to elbow.  Tilt your body from the waist to the left side so that your elbow almost touches your body.  Hold it there for a moment and come back to the starting position.  Do the same thing on your right side.  Repeat this 5 to 10 times.  You can do this exercise standing up or sitting down, just make sure your back is straight at the starting position.
Knee lifts can also help you to lose waist fat.  Stand with your legs shoulders' width apart with your hands on your hips.   Bend your left knee to waist height and bring it down to about an inch above the floor.  Raise and lower it ten times and rest.  Now do the same thing with the right leg.

How to Lose Back Fat Fast

How to Lose Back Fat Fast

If you are less than satisfied with the look of your back, you are not alone.  Extra back fat can be less than appealing.  The good news is, there are ways to tone and tighten your back, and ultimately lose your back fat.  Of course, when you start to workout your back, you have to be very careful.  You use your back all the time, whether you realize it or not.  It keeps you moving throughout the day, and that is why it is important to build muscle there carefully.  When you start to lose your back fat, you will also see that you will have less fat in other areas of your body as well.
There are various exercises for the back called "rows."  These exercises are given that name because they slightly resemble the physical action of "rowing" a boat, which uses a great deal of your back muscles.  Here are a few versions of row exercises to burn back fat and tone the muscle on your back.
If you have access to a gym, you can use a cable for three different row exercises:  the seated row, the seated high row, and the straight back row.  For the seated row, sit down with the cables in front of you at waist level.  You will pull the cables with both hands.  You should lean slightly forward as you extend your arms straight in front of you, and then pull the cables back so that your elbows bend behind you.  Repeat those steps.  For the seated high row, you will do the same motion, only you will be pulling the cables from a higher height, rather than at waist level.  The cables should be higher than your head, and you should have to lean slightly forward to contract the cable.  For either of these rows, do not lean further forward than necessary.
Another exercise that helps to burn back fat is the straight back row.  The straight back row is similar to the seated row.  The difference is that you will hold your back straight in place rather than leaning slightly forward.  You will be working your back muscles, but only your arms will be moving back and forth while pulling the cable.
You don't have to go to the gym to burn your back fat.  If you don't have access to a gym or cables, you can do similar exercises with dumbbells.  With dumbbell rows, you should only use one weighted arm at a time, and use a bench to support you.  With dumbbell rows, you should use one arm and knee to support you as you lift and lower the weight.
Push-ups are also a very good exercise for burning back fat as well.  Make sure that you keep your body in a straight line and don’t lift or lower your head.  To make full use of your back, make sure that your body is extended and your arms are directly under your shoulders.
You can also do planks to strengthen your back.  Again, make sure that your body is in a straight line, and that you don't arch up or sink down.  Your toes should be in the same position as they are in a push up, and your elbows should be bent and on the ground directly under your shoulders.  Hold your body up for as long as your can, rest, and then repeat.
I cannot stress enough the importance of form, here.  If you have not worked out your back before, make sure that you start off slow.  Getting a personal trainer is a good idea as well.  If you feel unusual pain during any of these back fat burning exercises, your form might not be correct and you might have pulled something.  Don't push yourself if you are in pain.

Helpful Ways for Weight Loss During Ramadan

Helpful Ways for Weight Loss During Ramadan

WeightWeight gain could be seen as one of these diseases. However, to lose weight during Ramadan fasting must be done in a very careful manner. There are many ahadith that give us advice on how to eat healthy while fasting during Ramadan. However, people often forget these healthy eating habits during Ramadan. Ironically, as well, there are more “eating traps” during Ramadan than any other month. So, as we struggle to be good Muslims and fast, we may inadvertently be straying from the path of the Prophet by breaking all rules of good health. The most common “Ramadan pitfalls” are: Eating a large iftar (meal at breaking of fast) right after the Maghrib azhan (sunset call to prayer), eating unusual or new foods, too many salty foods, too many sweet foods, increasing consumption of tea or coffee, not sleeping enough, skipping meals, eating too much bread or other foods, changing lifestyle habits, and reducing exercise.

Weight Loss During Ramadan

Eat Balanced Meals
As always, fast or no fast – your meals should be balanced. This means complex carbs, protein, and healthy dietary fats in every meal. Ask yourself at every meal – where is my protein? Where is my complex carbs? And where are my healthy dietary fats? By all means, NEVER have a meal that is predominantly carbohydrates – a very common mistake we all make. This is also a good time to actually cook your own healthy meals, rather than to rely on buying outside food all the time – when you cook, you can control exactly what goes into it.
Water
Drink more water during the non-fasting period – less of the sugary drinks (I’d cut them out altogether). Drink even when you aren’t feeling thirsty. Your body needs to rehydrate, so give it what it needs – MINUS the excess sugars (which equals to calories) tagging along. That means walking past the cendol, cincau, and multi-coloured drink stalls at the Ramadan bazaar. If you are diabetic, all the more you should be avoiding these. Your body will thank you for this.
Eat Healthy During The Periods you are Allowed to
This one’s quite obvious right? But surprisingly, it is the most difficult to follow. Why? Because when you are hungry, thirsty, and demotivated in the evenings, moments before you break your fast, it is so easy to make poor food choices and opt for the greasiest and most sugary options you can find. Moreover, it doesn’t help at all when the Ramadan bazaars make these foods very accessible and affordable.
Eat Multiple Smaller Meals – Spread Your Meals
Just like how I advise on eating smaller meals throughout the day during non-fasting times, the same applies even during the fasting month. Don’t settle for one or two ridiculously large meals because there is only so much your body can absorb at one-go. Instead, have smaller meals – you can easily have one when you break fast, another a few hours later, and one more before the fast starts again (at 4am) – so that’s 3 well spread out meals, so yes, you need to wake up to eat a meal (or perhaps a meal replacement or protein shake can be convenient).
Keep Your Exercise Routine Simple, Yet Effective.
This simply means ‘not overdoing it’. Don’t spend long hours at the gym. This is
not the time for back-to-back group exercise classes, or high intensity exercise (especially if you are working out during the fasting hours of the day, which I don’t recommend – see below). This is also not the time to achieve a new personal best – save it for next month. So this means that you will be performing sufficiently challenging strength training exercises (working on all muscle groups), and moderately intense cardiovascular exercise.

Health Risk of Exposing Baby to Sunlight

Health Risk of Exposing Baby to Sunlight

ExposingIn ancient time, we found cultures that worshipped the sun because the sun brings warmth, light and life to humans, plants, and animals. As a God, it gives a present of free dose of vitamin D to everyone. Most life forms except underground and deep-sea creatures or plants highly depend on the sunlight. The sun is life clock which controls the day and night, also provides vision to enjoy surroundings. Every coin has two sides; similarly the sun also has positive as well as negative aspects. Apart from all the need which can satisfy through essential sunlight, there are also several drawbacks of it. Still today parents sun their infants to heal against neonatal jaundice, nappy rash or for primary source of vitamin D for bone development due to misconception of health beliefs. But prolonged exposure to sunlight is very dangerous to health.
Especially babies who are under age of 6 months are more vulnerable to sunlight. As they have underdeveloped skin-protecting melanin and thinner skin layer which allows UV rays easily access to the melanin producing cells – called melanocytes. Damage to such cells cause melanoma-death causing skin cancer in a long run. Damages which are done during infancy can heavily affect skin health for a lifetime. When the amount of UV exposure is greater than skin’s melanin it develops sunburn. Light-skinned has less melanin than dark-skinned.
A light which radiates by the sun contains invisible ultraviolet (UV) rays. Repeated as well as unprotected exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays are liable to cause skin damage, immune system suppression, eye damage andskin cancer to your infant. Risks become higher if your baby has pale or fair skin.
All sunlight is not equal at UV level. As the intensity of the sunlight largely depends upon the time, UV rays become very strong during summer. When air and cloud cover is thinner, at that time it seeks extra protection for your little ones against damage. It doesn’t mean that cloudy, cool, or overcast days cannot damage our skin. Temperature or breeze keeps your baby’s skin cool just on the surface but invisible sun cause unexpected skin damages. UV rays can’t be filter out by Clouds and pollution; they pass through the clouds and reflect off water, sand, and even concrete. So that it badly affects to your babies eyes.
Because of such dangers, parents especially mothers should be aware about pragmatic measures which keep their babies in safe hands. Normally, babies are supposed to warmly cuddle in mother’s bosoms, or to stay indoors. But there are some outside baby adventures and usual check-ups to the doctor which compel for baby-outing. So, here are some useful precautions which you can easily put in your practice.
Sun Creams:
Use sun creams which are especially formulated for the baby. Avoid using adult skin cream which may cause skin irritation to infant. Take care about not putting lotion around eyes, also keep the lotion away from baby’s hands because there may be chances that it end up in the mouth. Check properly that whether sun cream provides maximum protection from UVA and UVB rays with regards to SPF or not.
SPF 30+ sun cream keeps out about 97% of UV rays from your baby’s delicate skin. In fact your baby’s skin never gets 100 % protection from any sun cream. So, it would be better to keep your babies safe by shade, clothing, and hats if possible.
Clothing properly:
Most favorable option to protect your baby is cover exposed skin with comfortable-fitting clothes. Prefer such fabrics which are closely-woven. Choose long sleeve T-shirts and colorful hat that covers your baby in well manner. Dark colors give more protection against UVB rays. Neck, ears, lips, nose and face are most common sites for skin damage andskin cancer . Broad brims (8-10 cm) hats, or hats with a flap at the back also at the front like legionnaire style, or bucket hats give proper shade for face, back, neck and ears.
Avoid mid-day outing:
As sunlight becomes strong during 11am and 3pm, plan your work after such time. Avoiding outdoor activities in middle of the day gives total protection to your baby in easier way.
Keep baby in the shade:
When baby outing becomes compulsion due to any urgency then try to protect your infant by shade. Be sure that shade place is free from sun exposure and scattered and reflected light due to clouds and sand or concrete surfaces. Also make shade for your baby’s stroller and pram with such material that casts a dark shadow. It later on gives protection from rain. Apart from glass, long trips, window shades or tinting provide extra protection in the car.

As nowadays, computers are most important in medicines and all the other fields; hospitals are well-adequately equipped with computers. The doctors also monitor keenly the patient’s treatment chart and diagnosis, on his laptop in the office, anytime 24 hrs a day, thereby giving further instructions to the nurse in-charge of that patient in the hospital. As computers are installed everywhere in hospitals, it makes the work of nurses a lot easier.Today, more and more girls thrive to adopt nursing as a profession owing to its scope and importance. They work hard to achieve diploma, certificate, bachelors or masters level after completing training. The aim of the nursing community world-wide is to ensure quality care for all while maintaining their standards, code of ethics, competencies, credentials and training.
